Christaleen Hill

I’m Christaleen Hill — a 20-year retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant, wife, and proud mother of four daughters. Life didn’t start easy: at 16, I became a teen mother, I left Mississippi on a Greyhound bus to California, faced homelessness, and navigated seasons of uncertainty. Those early challenges taught me resilience, grit, and the power of choosing progress even when the odds seemed stacked against me. I didn’t wait for life to deal me better cards — I learned the game and built my own future.

After retiring from the military, I faced new battles with depression and PTSD. During that time, God gave me a vision that required me to sew — a skill I didn’t yet have. I thrifted my first sewing machine for $7, watched countless YouTube tutorials, and learned one stitch at a time. Sewing became medicinal, giving me purpose, grounding me, and connecting me to a community I never imagined.

What began as a personal journey quickly grew into something bigger. I realized sewing had the power to calm the mind, restore confidence, and bring people together. It wasn’t just a craft — it was a way to heal, connect, and make space for creativity and growth.

That vision became Craft Therapy. Today, everything I offer — from beginner sewing classes to custom keepsakes — is rooted in intention, care, and community. My story is proof that no matter where you start, you can create a meaningful, purpose-filled life. And my mission is to help others do the same, one stitch at a time.

Sew Love,
Chris
